Lip enhancement

Lip enhancement is one of the most popular treatments at our clinic. All of the injectors at the clinic are aware of problem of over-filled lips and we do not share that aesthetic. We tend to use smaller volumes and are very careful to tailor the treatment to your unique anatomy.

The term “lip enhancement” is very broad and can entail many approaches. For example:

  1. Very soft and fine enhancement to softly re-hydrate the lips

  2. Structured enhancement for a strong lip border and shape

  3. Turning up a downward-shaped mouth focusing on the corners

  4. Improve proportions to create facial balance in the lower third of the face

  5. To create crisp definition of a lip that has aged and looking flat

  6. Using filler

How Lip ehancements are Performed

Most patients are comfortable with strong numbing cream applied 45 min prior to the appointment. Alternatively, you may request a dental block that is injected into the gums. The product is then injected with very fine needles or a blunt cannula.

We do not recommend injecting more than 1ml into the lip at each appointment.

how much Downtime is there with lip ENHANCEMENT?

Swelling and bruising is very common after treatment. Most patients get bruising and this can be mild or quite obvious. It’s not advisable to schedule social events for up to 7 days following injections in and around the lip. If you have had a dental anaesthetic, your lips will be very numb in the hours afterwards and you may not be able to speak or eat normally in those hours.
